Rep. Marcia Fudge Makes Sweet Bet on Cavs in NBA Finals

WASHINGTON, D.C. - LeBron James isn't the only one with plenty at stake in the NBA finals between the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Golden State Warriors.

Warrensville Heights Democratic Rep. Marcia Fudge has placed a sweet bet on the series with California Democratic Rep. Barbara Lee.

If the Warriors win, Fudge will give Lee chocolates from Malley's, peanuts from Peterson's and pastries from Davis Bakery. If the Cavaliers win, Lee will supply Fudge with California treats including Clif bars, Ghiradelli chocolates, Peet's coffee and an autographed photo of Stephen Curry in an Oaklandish tote bag.

"The Golden State Warriors are a strong team, but it's time to end our city's 50-year championship drought," Fudge said in a statement that announced the bet. The Cavaliers will be victorious."

"The Cleveland Cavaliers are a good team but the Warriors will win this, hands down," said Lee. "With the strong support of the East Bay and leadership of MVP Stephen Curry, I am confident of a Warrior's win! While I am proud to put some of the East Bay's finest products on the line for this friendly wager, I look forward to enjoying the sweetness of a hometown victory along with Cleveland treats from my friend, Congresswoman Fudge."
