Congresswoman Lee meet and greet Monday in San Leandro

SAN LEANDRO -- U.S. Congresswoman Barbara Lee is hosting a "meet-and-greet" for new constituents on Monday from 4 to 5 p.m. at the San Leandro Main Library.

Reservations are recommended and can be made by calling 510-763-0370 or by emailingrsvp.sanleandro@mail.house.gov. Cake will be served.

Lee's office hours will be from 3 to 5 p.m. at the San Leandro Main Library, 300 Estudillo Ave., on the first and third Tuesdays of each month.

Lee's district changed in January from the 9th district to the 13th district as a result of changes made by the 14-member California Citizens Redistricting Commission using 2010 census data. New boundaries for the 13th congressional district include the cities of San Leandro, Alameda, Albany, Berkeley, Emeryville, Oakland and Piedmont. Lee's 9th district last year covered much of the same territory except San Leandro, but included Ashland, Cherryland, Castro Valley and Fairview now in the 15th district.
