(Oakland, CA) – Congresswoman Barbara Lee (D-Oakland) issued the following statement on Wednesday in support of unionized security guards who are engaged in protracted contract talks with several private security firms in the Bay Area:“I am deeply concerned that the predominately African American Security Guard force does not earn a living wage.
