Congresswoman Barbara Lee Issues Statement on President Obama's Remarks on Syria

Congresswoman Barbara Lee (D-CA) issued the following statement regarding President Obama's remarks on Syria today:
"I am pleased that President Obama called for a Congressional debate and vote to consider authorizing military force in Syria.
"There is far too much a stake to rush into a decision without all the facts, a review of the evidence, consideration of unintended consequences and a Congressional debate and vote."
Last week, Congresswoman Barbara Lee was joined by 60 Members of Congress on a letter to President Obama condemning the reported use of chemical weapons in Syria and calling for full congressional debate and appropriate response.
