Congresswoman Barbara Lee Receives "A" Grade from NAACP Mid-Term Legislative Report Card

Washington, DC - Congresswoman Barbara Lee received an A grade for her record from the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) in the NAACP Federal Legislative Report Card recently released in January.

The NAACP Federal Legislative Report Card tracks the voting record of Members of Congress in the first session of the 107th Congress, which convened from January 3, 2001 to December 20, 2001. The mid-term report includes votes on legislation before the full House of Representatives and does not include votes made at the committee level.

From the NAACP Federal Legislative Report Card:

Since 1914 the NAACP Legislative Report Card has served as a presentation of the key civil rights votes taking the United State Senate and the United Sates House of Representatives. The NAACP Federal Legislative Report Card is updated and distributed to NAACP members twice a year, once at the NAACP annual convention (which usually takes place in July) and once immediately after the end of each Congressional session (which usually takes place some time between October and December).
