Congresswoman Barbara Lee statement regarding suggestion to postpone the November election
WASHINGTON, DC – Congresswoman Barbara Lee (CA-13) issued the following statement today regarding Trump’s suggestion to postpone the November election.
“No, we will not postpone the election. And no, voting by mail is not fraudulent. States like Oregon have voted safely and securely by mail for years,” Congresswoman Lee said. “Trump is terrified that Americans will hold him accountable for his catastrophic failures in November, and he should be. He will say and do anything, no matter how damaging to our nation, to distract from the fact that his incompetence has led to an out-of-control pandemic and a historic economic collapse. As my friend John Lewis would say, we have to vote like we have never voted before on Tuesday, November 3rd.”
