Economic Recovery event to assist non-profit and faith-based organizations
Oakland – Congresswoman Barbara Lee (CA-09) – in cooperation with the East Bay Community Foundation – will host the third in a series of events designed to ensure that communities throughout the 9th Congressional District gain access to funding being made available through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) – or Stimulus Bill.
A panel of 10 will discuss how non-profits and faith-based community organizations can access federal funding on Wednesday, May 27, 2009 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Laney College Theater, located at 900 Fallon Street, Oakland. A Stimulus guide will be available, and representatives from a number of federal agencies will be on hand to address the many concerns organizations have regarding how to apply and secure this important funding.
