Health care experts and providers will be presented with unique opportunity to provide feedback on reforming the nation’s health care system
Oakland – Congresswoman Barbara Lee (CA-09) will host a roundtable discussion that will focus on present efforts in Congress to reform the nation’s health care system and the steps that need to be taken to reduce healthcare disparities among minorities throughout the United States. The Dialogue on Health Care Reform will be held on Monday, June 22, 2009 from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Evergreen Missionary Baptist Church, 408 MacArthur Blvd., Oakland, CA. The discussion presents regional leaders in the health care community from throughout the Ninth Congressional District with a unique opportunity to discuss health disparities and health care reform directly with Congresswoman Lee as she and her colleagues in Congress work to reform the nation’s health care system.
Health care reform has long been one of Congresswoman Lee’s legislative priorities, and the Congresswoman wants to make certain that the voices of local healthcare leaders, providers and stakeholders from throughout the Ninth Congressional District are heard in Washington D.C. as Congress discusses landmark healthcare legislation.
