Panelists will provide overview of the legislation and its benefits
OAKLAND – Congresswoman Barbara Lee (CA-09) will host a Healthcare Panel Discussion on Friday, April 30, 2010 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at Evergreen Missionary Baptist Church, 408 West MacArthur Boulevard, Oakland, CA.
Congresswoman Lee will be joined on the panel by Herb Schultz, Director of Health and Human Services Region IX, Dr. James Watson, Director of the Watson Clinic; Jane Garcia, CEO of La Clinica De La Raza; Linda Leu, Director of Health Access, and Cary Sanders of California Pan Ethnic Networks. Dr. Kathryn Malone, a prominent Bay Area family practice physician, will serve as moderator.
This diverse panel of experts will discuss the recently passed healthcare legislation that was signed into law by President Barack Obama, and will provide insight on how this landmark legislation will affect and benefit individuals and families.
