Washington, DC – Today, Congresswoman Barbara Lee released this statement on the confirmation of Senator Hillary Clinton to the post of Secretary of State by the Senate.

“I want to congratulate Senator Clinton on her new position as Secretary of State. I look forward to working with her on a range of foreign policy issues and on helping to restore our nation’s standing in the world.”

Congresswoman Barbara Lee serves on the House Committee on Foreign Affairs and the Appropriations Committee, Subcommittee on State and Foreign Operations. She is Co-founder of the Out of Iraq Caucus.
