Congresswoman Lee Receives Nurses Champion for Peace and Justice Award from California Nurses Association

Oakland, CA – Congresswoman Lee issued the following statement upon receiving the Nurses Champion for Peace and Justice Award from the California Nurses Association:

“I am deeply honored to receive the Nurses Champion of Peace and Justice Award from the California Nurses Association, which has its headquarters in Oakland.

Since its founding in 1903, the California Nurses Association has been a tireless champion for the patients and nursing professionals. In just the past 15 years, CNA has grown nearly 400 percent.

Nurses are critical to public health. They have their hands full with countless responsibility including serving as frontline health workers, providing top level patient care and assisting families through health crises.

I thank the California Nurses Association for this tremendous honor and for your dedication to the healthcare of your patients and our communities.”
