Congresswoman Lee to Welcome Attorney General Holder to Oakland for Discussion on Trust Building between Communities and Law Enforcement

Oakland, CA – Attorney General Eric Holder will be in Oakland on Thursday as part of his “Building Community Trust” Tour.

“I am very glad the Attorney General accepted my invitation to come to Oakland and hear first-hand our community’s concerns and ideas to enact much needed change,” said Congresswoman Barbara Lee. “We must work together to take the long overdue action needed to build trust between the community and law enforcement and ensure justice for all. This dialogue is an important step in that effort.”

The roundtable discussion will include Attorney General Holder, Congresswoman Lee, local elected officials, law enforcement, and faith, community and youth leaders.

The roundtable discussion will take place at the Ronald V. Dellums Federal Building (1301 Clay Street, Oakland, CA) at 9:30AM PT. The event is not open to the public.
