Federal Investments in the East Bay
Congresswoman Lee Releases Map Detailing Federal Grants and Small Business Loans in the 13th Congressional District
Oakland, CA – Today, Congresswoman Barbara Lee released an interactive map showing federal grants and small business administration investments in California’s 13th Congressional district.
“I’m committed to bringing federal funds to the East Bay. These funds invest in our community, from ground-breaking research and transportation infrastructure to programs that empower young people and grow small businesses,” said Congresswoman Barbara Lee. “Make no mistake, these funds are having a real, measurable and positive impact in the East Bay and in our neighborhoods.”
The map is live and accessible on Congresswoman Lee’s website. It displays grants and loans provided to organizations located or operating in the 13th district.
“This map shows hundreds of federal investments, totaling nearly a billion dollars. I hope that this tool will encourage other organizations doing good work in our community to submit funding proposals,” added Congresswoman Lee.
“Congresswoman Lee has continuously been a strong and supportive voice as we work to win federal grants,” said Jane Garcia, CEO of La Clínica de La Raza. “From helping us find new grant opportunities to supporting our applications and work, she has helped ensure strong and robust federal investments in our community. These investments help to keep people healthy, support students learning and expand access to arts and culture for all.”
