Resolution Honoring Four Fallen Police Officers to be Considered on House Floor Today

Washington, DC – Today, the House of Representatives will consider a resolution introduced by Congresswoman Barbara Lee (D-CA) honoring the lives, and mourning the loss, of Sgts. Mark Dunakin, Ervin Romans, Daniel Sakai, and Officer John Hege, members of the Oakland Police Department in California who were brutally slain in the line of duty.

Last week, Congresswoman Lee attended the memorial service for the four slain police officers and later presented Oakland Police Department Officials with copies of the aforementioned House Resolution as well as a letter from President Barack Obama.
