Congresswoman Barbara Lee Supports Remote Area Medical and Encourages Local Medical Professionals to Volunteer for Four-Day Clinic

Oakland – Congresswoman Barbara Lee (CA-09) would like to encourage local medical professionals to volunteer for the Remote Area Medical (RAM) four-day free clinic that starts Saturday, April 9 at the Oakland Coliseum, 7000 Coliseum Way, Oakland, CA at 11 a.m.

This will be the 640th clinic undertaken by RAM, which has issued a call for volunteer support. RAM is a public-supported, all-volunteer charitable organization devoted to delivering free health care, dental care, eye care and technical and educational assistance for those who cannot afford medical services. Dental, vision and medical examinations and prescriptions will be offered on-site at no cost on a first-come, first-serve basis during the four-day clinic.

Congresswoman Lee would also like to encourage constituents throughout the 9th Congressional District to take advantage of the free medical services that will be available during the clinic, which ends on Tuesday, April 12.
