“This is a tragic day for America. My heart is with the entire Tree of Life Congregation and Pittsburgh community. Anti-semitism has no place in our country, and today is a devastating reminder of the work that remains to eliminate hate from our society.

“As we mourn this senseless tragedy, Congress must do more to prevent these horrific acts of gun violence. No one should have to fear walking into a place of worship, a school, a theater, or a workplace. Enough is enough — we must get weapons of war off our streets and keep our communities safe.”
