“As Ranking Member of the House Appropriations Subcommittee on State and Foreign Operations, I am pleased that the President’s FY24 budget request supports the use of the vital tools of diplomacy and development. With President Biden’s leadership over the past two years, we have made strides in the revitalization of key foreign policy institutions and programs and multilateral partnerships that suffered from underfunding in previous administrations. I look forward to delving deeper into the Department’s budget request to protect funding levels from harmful cuts and ensure the success of our global non-defense initiatives.”
