Congresswoman Lee Delivers CBC Message to America

Washington, D.C. – This week, Congresswoman Barbara Lee delivered the Congressional Black Caucus’s (CBC) Message to America. 

In her message, Congresswoman Lee spoke of the CBC’s efforts to build pathways into the middle class for the more than 45 million Americans living in poverty.


Congresswoman Lee is a member of the Appropriations and Budget Committees, the Steering and Policy Committee, is a Senior Democratic Whip, former chair of the Congressional Black Caucus and co-chair of the Progressive Caucus. She serves as chair of the Whip’s Task Force on Poverty and Opportunity.
